Mount Saint Helens—Monument to Catastrophe

A set of breathtaking slides assembled by Dr. John Morris, Dr. Steve Austin and Jay Auxt. The Mt. St. Helens eruption turned several areas of science completely upside down as is clearly evident from this fascinating scientific and unbelievable scientific information.

This presentation is a lighter, non-technical discussion that includes copies of numerous pictures of the the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens. In this presentation Mr. Auxt shows how this one geologic event, that took place over three different days, turned many sciences “upside-down” and changed many scientist's views on the formation of sedimentary rock, erosion, petrified “forests,” and coal formation. This presentation ends with a call not to ignore the warnings that God has given us through the Bible, like 57 people who chose to die, in the 1980 eruption when they ignored the warnings that God gave them through geologists and even the small eruptions that were the precursor to “The Big One.”
